CLAIM MOUNTAINS UNSEEN IN 2016

CLAIM MOUNTAINS UNSEEN IN TWO THOUSAND SIXTEEN

In Scripture, there are mountains of hindrance and mountains of inheritance.  Each must be approached by faith.  Words of faith and shoutings of grace bring about the removal of the first.  To the mountain of inheritance as with Caleb, the prayer of faith and the readiness of obedience obtain that which is ours as children of God.  Caleb had seen his desired mountain and thus requested permission to make it his place of inheritance.

The obtaining of our mountain of inheritance is a call for us to cast off unbelief and be adorned with the mantle of faith.  People of faith see the unseen. (Heb. 11:1)   Though unseen naturally, they see the promises of God spiritually. (Heb. 11:13)  People of faith also see the God of the promises.  (Heb. 11:27)

Those who live by faith have a vision of faith.  The unseen things, which are seen by them, have eternal value.  (II Cor. 4:18)  Like Abraham and others, who looked for an eternal city, their hope does not rest in this passing world.

Their life is the abundant life!  Jesus said “Blessed are they who have not seen and yet believe.”  Living in faith also enables us to avert error and make godly preparation.  Noah, being warned of God of unseen things to come — prepared an ark –.  (Heb. 11:7)

As we make our first steps into 2016.  Let them be steps of faith.  Our spirits and minds, marinated with God’s word, will produce faith which will enable us to envision and see the miraculous hand of God in our lives and in our world as we make our way through the year ahead of us.

Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises –. (Heb. 11:13)

We just returned from Christmas vacation at my mother’s home in Ouray, Colorado. Approximately 2 weeks prior to our trip, I was drawn to the “Christmas Story” and the way that God fulfilled aspects of the shepherds and wise men’s lives through the use of “signs”. To the shepherds it was the sign of finding a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes lying in a manger. To the wise men it was a star that led them to the Christ child. As I gazed at Mt. White House just outside my mother’s front door in Ouray, the voice of Caleb came to mind saying, “Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day.” The Lord began to share about mountains of hindrance and mountains of possession (inheritance). Thanks to you and Scott for sending this word of confirmation and affirmation. Thank God for mountain moving, mountain taking faith!
